Set off on an exciting nature adventure with the Palo María Hidden Waterfall Hike, a refreshing journey into the lush jungle landscapes of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. This immersive experience takes you off the beaten path and deep into a tropical environment filled with vibrant greenery, flowing rivers, and the sounds of wildlife all around you.
As you hike along jungle trails and wade through sections of the river, you’ll be surrounded by exotic birds, dense vegetation, and the peaceful rhythm of nature. The trail leads to the stunning Palo María Waterfall, a secluded natural oasis hidden within the jungle.
At the waterfall, cool off in the crystal-clear pool beneath cascading water, relax in the shade of the jungle canopy, or enjoy snorkeling in the clear river waters to observe small fish and aquatic life. For those seeking more adventure, there is an optional continuation of the hike to explore additional waterfalls further upstream.

What We’ll Do
This 3-4 hour experience begins at the pier in Old Town Puerto Vallarta at 9:00 AM. From there, we’ll walk to the nearby bus stop and take the Orange bus to Palo María (approximately 15 minutes). Once we arrive, we’ll follow jungle trails and the river upstream to reach the waterfall. We’ll spend about an hour enjoying the waterfall before returning by bus to Old Town Puerto Vallarta.
